This picture was painted by an artist from Curitiba, Luiz Jacomitte in 1979.
My father gave him a picture taken on my parent´s honeymoon trip to southern Brazil, specifically, the island of Porto Belo, Santa Catarina.
Today I found the artist on the Internet, and I decided to congratulate him on his work, he made the painting more real than the picture.
This painting brings me peace, serenity, tranquility, joy, and clearly reminds me of my father.
Today this painting is in my house, so I look at it all the time, but today something struck me differently, wherefore, I'm here to write about this.
I was thinking, How good is to feel all these sensations just looking at this painting! That's great!
I still think, how nice if I could take this painting with me always, everywhere! (And I can, just putting on my smartphone) Then, when something takes off my peace, I just look at my painting.
But in the same moment I remember what Jesus said about it:
"I leave you peace, my peace I give unto you, do not give it to you as the world gives. Not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid." John 14:27
and what Paul said:
"Let us therefore follow after the things wich make for peace, and things wherewith one may edify another." Romans 14:19
For these reasons I write today “And the God of peace be with you all. Amen! Romans 15:33
Kind Regards,
